Before you join

What happens if my internet drops mid-call?

Nothing is lost. Your recording is written to your own device while you talk, in full quality, and the upload picks up where it stopped when the connection returns. The call can look rough while the recording stays clean.

Do my guests need an account or an install?

No. A guest opens one link in a browser, checks their mic, and joins. They keep the tab open until it says the take is safe, which usually takes seconds after you stop.

Which devices does it run on?

Hosts use the Mac app. Guests use a current desktop browser. We will say more about other platforms once we know what people ask for.

What do I get after I press stop?

One track per person, a transcript, and a first edit with filler words and long pauses already marked. It is ready minutes after you stop, not the next day.

What does 3 months free include?

Full use of Duocast for the first three months after it opens, with no card up front. Each 3 friends who join with your link add one more free month. We check invites once at launch, when the access email goes out, so made-up addresses do not count.

When do I get access?

Duocast is still being built. People on the waitlist get access in the order they joined. We will email you before anyone is charged for anything.

What will it cost afterwards?

Plans are not final. We will publish them on this page before the free months start counting, so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.

What do you do with my email?

We use it to tell you when Duocast opens and to count your invites. It is not sold or shared. The privacy page lists everything we store and how to delete it.
